Will You Be a Pet Therapy Volunteer?

Volunteers are an integral part of our team as they provide support to patients, their families and our staff. Center for Hospice Care's Volunteer Program provides a variety of service opportunities that are compatible with any lifestyle. We are currently looking for Volunteer Pet Therapists.

We have many requests for certified Pet Therapist to conduct patient visits. Visits consist of traveling to the patient's home and visiting one on one with the patient. These visits are coordinated by the therapy team and patient at a mutual time.

Incoming volunteers are required to apply. In addition, they are required to pass a background check, submit 2 references and a Physician's Certificate of good health. Once the paperwork is submitted a training time would be set. The dogs must hold current certification with Pet Partners, Alliance for Therapy Dogs or TDI. Also must have current town/city license and rabies vaccine.

Interested applicants or inquires please contact Jeanette Brooks at jbrooks@hospicesect.org
