Volunteer Services
Patient Care and Bereavement Volunteers are an integral part of our inter-disciplinary team and the care we provide to our terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice Southeastern Connecticut is fortunate to have more than 150 trained volunteers who actively support the agency and its mission.
After completing an extensive training program, volunteers are assigned as needed to a patient and family where they offer supportive care and services such as:
- Emotional support
- Companionship
- Transportation
- Equipment and Presciption Pick-Up
- Therapeutic Use of Pets
