2008 Hospice Southeastern Connecticut Regatta Series!

Now in its 19th year the Regatta Series attracts over 300 sailors. With many Southeastern Connecticut yacht clubs participating, and several Long Island Sound sailing venues and dates throughout the summer, this series raises money to help provide care and comfort to those approaching the end of their lives. All funds stay in Southeastern Connecticut helping our families, friends and neighbors.

Summer 2008 Racing Schedule:

Saturday, July 12, 2008:  Stonington Harbor Yacht Club cruising boat race around Fishers Island.  This race is designed for the cruising sailor who would like to have some friendly fun while raising money for a good cause.  Boats of all sizes are welcome, and different classes will be created depending upon the entries.  Following the race, join members of the SHYC for a cocktail party at their beautifully appointed club in Stonington Borough.Click HERE to register or donate on-line,   Click HERE to print Registration Form

These regular Wednesday Night club races have become a Hospice tradition and are always a lot of fun.

Saturday, July 19, 2008:  Mystic Mudhead Benefit Regatta.  This year, the Mystic River Mudhead Sailing Association has chosen to sail for Hospice Southeastern Connecticut in their annual ECSA charity race.  Racing boats ranging from one-designs to 50-footers come from all over Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island to sail in this popular day race.  After the racing, join the festivities at the Mystic Yachting Center at the Mystic Shipyard for the awards and always-fun party. Sunday, September 21, 2008:  Niantic Bay Yacht Club One-Design Regatta.  Optimists, JY15s, Lasers, 420s and Blue Jays come together for one last series of races for the season.  Racers of all ages always enjoy this last chance to win First Place!  After the races, enjoy the festivities at the NBYC after-party and awards ceremony.
