Hospice Southeastern Connecticut Promotes Bonnie DeCosta to Director of Human Resources

Norwich, CT (October, 2011) – Bonnie DeCosta has been promoted to Director of Human Resources at Hospice Southeastern Connecticut in Norwich, CT. She began working for Hospice SE CT as a Generalist focusing on Benefits Administration, Training and Recruitment, Employee Relations, and upgrading the Information Systems for Human Resources. 

Bonnie holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from Mitchell College and current national certifications in Human Resources, Employment Law and Career Coaching.  She considers herself a life-long learner and is pursuing certification in Employee Training and Development areas and continues with her graduate coursework in organizational development.

Bonnie is excited at the opportunity to support such a dedicated team of nurses, hospice aides, counseling professionals, administrators and support staff and will initially focus on designing and implementing an HR portal to compliment the organization’s technology initiatives.

Background: With a background in nonprofits, construction, IT and healthcare, Bonnie has been a successful business owner and has held senior management positions in Finance and Human Resources with area nonprofit organizations. She is an active business and human resources consultant in the southern Connecticut and shoreline areas.

Personal: An active volunteer and board member of various organizations including Special Olympics, United Way and regional cultural and art associations. Bonnie also enjoys hiking, gardening, crafts and painting.
