Hospice Southeastern Connecticut offers grief-support groups open to anyone in the community grieving the loss of a loved one within the past year.

 

 

Hospice Southeastern Connecticut offers grief-support groups open to anyone in the public grieving the loss of a loved one. Groups will discuss the ongoing tasks of adjusting to a new way of life and will learn effective ways to cope with the stress of loss. These discussions happen in a supportive and non-threatening atmosphere in a variety of locations throughout Southeastern Connecticut.Those who have lost their spouse/partner can opt for a talk support group while others of all ages are invited to participate in our “Drawing on Our Memories” expressive arts program. Members can choose the particular exercise they find most comfortable, e.g., scrapbooking, painting, drawing, sculpturing, journaling while also using group discussion to learn how to best cope with their loss. All materials provided.

A program of creative and expressive arts workshops for all ages

Learning how to put grief into “a language without words”

No artistic talent required, all materials are provided
