Hospice Southeastern Connecticut Celebrates Spring with its Annual Hospice Southeastern Connecticut Walk 2011
Norwich, CT – Hospice Southeastern Connecticut joins friends and supporters to hold its annual Hospice Southeastern Connecticut Walk at Mohegan Park in Norwich on May 14th, 2011. The Hospice SE CT Walk, now in its 16th year, provides an opportunity for friends and supporters to memorialize loved ones while raising funds and awareness of the programs and services it offers to the community. The funds raised through the Hospice SE CT Walk will help provide programs that enhance quality of life for terminally ill patients and support families including bereavement care which is open to anyone in southeastern Connecticut. All monies raised, stay in southeastern Connecticut helping our families, friends and neighbors. Events such as the Walk provide approximately ten percent of the funds used by Hospice SE CT annually and allow the agency to provide care to patients and families regardless of their illness or inability to pay.
Hospice SE CT Walk 2011 would be impossible without the tireless efforts of the Walk Committee and other supporters. Our sincere appreciation goes to our Honorary Co-chairs Neil Ryan and Todd Postler of Wireless Zone for all of their energy and assistance. We also thank the Sneaker for a Buck participating businesses: Wireless Zone, Tri Town Foods, Arturo’s Barber/Stylist, Engine 6 Pizza, Irene’s Family Restaurant, Gather, Dr. James Watts DMD and Bank Square Books.
