Hospice Southeastern Connecticut welcomes Donna Simpson as Community Liaison

Norwich, CT (May, 2011) – Donna Simpson comes to the agency after 16 years of tourism marketing work representing Connecticut, primarily promoting the 42 towns of Eastern Connecticut. She previously worked for 15 years at Electric Boat in Communications.
Role: At the agency, she will promote the interdisciplinary services Hospice SE CT provides to New London County residents. In this role she will be a resource to referral sources, provide information about the choice of care through Hospice SE CT; participate in community activities, health fairs, coordinate in-service training for healthcare professionals and generally be an information source about the variety of services Hospice SE CT offers to support the physical and emotional well being of the community.
Background: A background in marketing and community relations.
Personal: Lives in New London’s Harbour Towers with her husband, Brian and well recognized black lab, Tess.

Hospice Southeastern Connecticut provides care in the home and often in skilled nursing facilities for those facing the end of their life, regardless of age, disease or inability to pay. The organization also provides bereavement services for families in New London County free of charge, regardless of whether the death occurred under hospice care or not.
Hospice Southeastern Connecticut is a community-based, non-profit healthcare organization in New London County. It is the only regional hospice affiliated with both Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and The William W. Backus Hospital. It is Medicare/Medicaid certified, state licensed and CHAP accredited.
